Wellbeing

Bethany Catholic Primary School Werribee

At Bethany we aim to create a safe, inclusive relationship focused culture for all members of the Bethany community.  We promote and celebrate the dignity and wellbeing of each person. We understand that each child has a unique set of values and skills and we strive to promote a culture of ‘Heart, Hospitality, Healing and Hope. At Bethany each person’s wellbeing is nurtured through experiences of building relationships with others, belonging, being accepted and valued.

“I have come that you may have life, and have it to the full.”

John 10:10

Student wellbeing and social emotional learning is integrated into everyday life at Bethany. We have a diverse range of restorative practices which promote positive relationships across the school.

At Bethany, wellbeing isn't just a concept; it's a way of life, ensuring that our young learners grow into compassionate, confident individuals who contribute positively to both their communities and the world, guided by faith and a profound sense of wellbeing.

The Resilience Project, provides students with practical evidence based mental health strategies to build resilience and happiness.

PBL

At Bethany, Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is embedded into our practice to establish positive behaviour, therefore increasing student outcomes through consistent school-wide practice. It is an evidence based model for behaviour interventions and support.  We have a school matrix of school wide expectations for inside and outside learning and play for all students to Be Safe, Be Respectful & Be Responsible.
